Walkinshaw TWG Racing

Walkinshaw TWG Racing is an Australian professional motorsport team competing in the Supercars Championship. Formerly known as Walkinshaw Andretti United (WAU), the team is currently amid its most significant transformation in decades, marked by a rebranding in early 2026 and a landmark move to lead Toyota’s entry into Supercars.

Perhaps the biggest shift in the team’s history is its new role as the homologation team for Toyota.

  • New Machinery: After decades of competing with Holden and a brief stint with Ford (2023–2025), the team now campaigns the Toyota GR Supra.
  • Lead Team Status: As the factory-supported homologation team, they were responsible for the development and aero-testing of the Supra package for the entire category.

The team is one of the most successful in Australian history, having originally been the Holden Racing Team (HRT). Their trophy cabinet includes:

  • 8 Bathurst 1000 victories.
  • 7 Drivers’ Championships (most recently won by Chaz Mostert in 2025).
  • 1000 Race Starts: They reached the historic milestone of 1000 races in March 2026 at the Melbourne SuperSprint.
